Kenda Newbury
Kenda Newbury has studied and worked with influential and international instructors and choreographers.

ACTING: She has also been privileged to work privately with well-known acting coaches (Elaine Stein) and has attended several prestigious actors' workshops. Kenda has been in over a half-dozen movies both television and large screen.

CHOREOGRAPHERS / INSTRUCTORS: Notable choreographers and instructors she has worked/studied under include: Kelly Brown, Gene Castle, Gregory Hines, Joe Tremaine, Mdm. and Mr. Messerrer, Victoria Dale of the Las Vegas University Dance Department, Chicago Lyric Ballet, Sean Curran, Donna Silva, Jelko Yuresha, Sam Kurkjian, Charlton O'Neal, Keith and BJ Martin - to name a few.

VAGANOVA / BALLET: She has had the opportunity to study extensively the Vaganova method through the Russian Teacher/Student Seminar held in Michigan with Janina Cunova, Eugene, and Jurgen Schneider.

PERFORMANCE CREDITS: Her performance career includes classical and contemporary ballet (Pointe), modern, flamenco, character, jazz and some tap.  Professional companies include: Ballet West, Ballet de Americas (guest artist), Chicago Lyric Ballet, Boston Liturgical Dance Ensemble (principal), Boston Dance Collective, Phoenix Ballet/Arizona Metropolitan Ballet, Impulse Dance Company (principal), Princess Cruise Lines (swing), Phoenix School of Ballet, AZDance Group and private choreographers.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE: Ms. Newbury's dance teaching experiences began at the young age of 13. From there, she excelled in working with various body types and ages. She is a former instructor of Phoenix School of Ballet, Ballet Etudes, Boston College, Ballet Arizona (substitute), Boston University (substitute), Boston Ballet Center for Dance Education and the Maricopa County Community College District colleges including Scottsdale Community College, Phoenix College and Paradise Valley Community College. She has taught throughout the world.

CREATOR/DIRECTOR: In 2005 she created and now directs and teaches dance classes and choreographs for individuals with disabilities. Her dance program, Movement E-Motion (MEM) provides artistic physical activity, movement, expression and dance for individuals with different abilities.
